Fees chartIt doesn't matter how big or small a load is when visiting an EcoDepot; loads are weighed at the kiosk on entry and the type of load is identified, with the exception of household loads of green only. Vehicles are then weighed again when leaving. The difference is the net weight and that is what the customer is then charged for. See the following chart with load types and the fee charged.
Please note: Why different fees?The fee structure is designed to encourage people to sort their waste. When waste is sorted, valuable resources can be kept out of our landfills. It is also more expensive to transport (to Kate Valley in Waipara) and dispose of refuse than it is to process other types of material.
